Interview results

Our group members interviewed 4 international students. First student is from England. He said Nagaya is boring because he has already gone visiting places in Nagoya. But I think I want foreigner to know more good places of Nagoya especially along Higashiyama Line because there are a lot of unknown places along there.

Second student we interviewed was said that he is interested in Shrine and Temple. He is from France. Also, he likes Japanese food like sushi. I think Japanese foods are very delicious for foreign people, too.　However, foreigner prefer cheaper foods than expensive foods.

Third student we interviewed was 22-year-old foreign student. He is from America. He likes to eat in o-giya and east paradise because these foods are delicious. I noticed that lots of foreign students prefer cheaper foods, but some of them prefer delicious food.　
He likes traveling, so he went to Tokyo, Okinawa, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and so on. On the other hand, he feels Nissin is boring because there are not energetic places, and also he had already been to around Nagoya.
I have learned that, foreign students want to go not only around Nagoya, but a lot of famous prefectures in Japan.

Third student is from America. She likes eating and shopping so she often goes to OSU. There are cheap and good shops in OSU and Sakae. So she often buys clothes there, for example HONEYS and cheap shops. She goes to MA・MAISON and SUSHIRO because these restaurants around NUFS are cheap. She eats lunch box of convinient at NUFS in order to cheap. I think it is good tast and chaeper than lunch places. She is likely to want to go to Mt.Fuji. This summer she return to her country. So I think she and the visitor shoud be go to Mt.Fuji someday.

Motoyama

This shop is picture book shop. There are many Japanese picture books, so you can learn Japanese and Japanese culture by reading them. Also, there are foreign picture books that are tranlated in Japanese, so I think that it is easy to read for you. It is very cute shop. This shop is near to Motoyama station, so you should go here. It takes about 3 minutes by the walk from 6 exit in this station.

Toganji (Togan temple)

This is a temple and Japanese culture. There is the great Buddha that one's sitting height is about 10 meters. It is very powerful and beautiful. It was built in 1987, so it is the historical thing. I think that you will be able to learn about Japanese history. Here it is also near to this station and can go soon by the walk from 6 exit in this station. It will make you calm, and you should go here.

SAKURA CAFE (U-Library)

This is the fashionable cafe. Here you can eat delicious foods. At the lunch time, you can eat sandwich and sweet of green tea. If you want to hold the party, you can use as a reserved place. There is a place that can read books and cook. It is very fashionable, so you can enjoy the party. It takes about 2 minutes by the walk from 2 exit in this station. You should go here.

This is a smart restaurant, because there is a champagne tower, and trick arts are decorated in the restaurant. Whe end_of_the_skype_highlightingn you want to celebrate the birthday, stuffs show you various performances and sing a song for you. When you want to calm down yourself, I recommend it.

This is Japanese style bar, “Izakaya”. You can eat “Yakitori” and drink various alcoholic drinks. Here is very famous and popular, so you might reserve it.

There are this restaurant in around the NUFS so some of them may know there. Hoshigaoika is the second station from Kamiyashiro. If you have never been to there, you try go to there with your friends.

Kakuozan

Nittaiji

Nittaiji is located in Kakuouzan. This is the temple that sacred to Budda’s remain. “Kakuou” is another name of Budda, and “Nittai” means Japan and Thailand. The temple belongs to non denomination. Nowadays, the 19 denomination’s chief priests alternate sentry duty. In the precinct,　there is a stattue of Rama Ⅴ．The embassy of Thailand visits there on his birthday. Sometimes Thai visit there.

It is one of the very delicious doughnut shops. The shop was first opened in Okazaki city in Aichi prefecture. Recently, the shop advanced to Kakuozan in Nagoya. It’s located along the approach to the temple of Nittaiji.This shop is closed on Tuesdays. It is famous for its soft flavor.
There are many kinds of doughnuts in this shop, and those of famous flavors are sold out soon.

This is a store of that selling many kinds of foreign foods or snacks. The places are really cheap.　The atmosphere of this store is similar to foreign country’s one, so most of the foreigners feel the hometown’s atmoaphere.

Hoshigaoka
I searched about Hoshigaoka in Higashiyama line. These are Hoshigaoka terrace’s movie and sites. At the night in winter, you can look at beautiful terrace in here. Then you can go to shopping, eat a lunch or dinner and Starbacks also is placed in there. Therefore there is near by Hoshigaoka Station so you can go to there soon. You tube in Hoshigaoka Terrace Hoshigaoka Terrace in winter night Starbacks In addition to this shop is very cheap shop like convenience store because the photo of this site is written to "99yen". I want to go to there too. Tsurukame Hoshigaoka is very good place so you should go to there. There are Hoshigaoka bowling near the staion and the most near the NUFS. We will play sports together and eat good and cheap foods!

I would you like to introduce Motoyama, so I found three sites about Motoyama. These sites are very great to know about Motoyama. First, this is a map in Motoyama. It is useful for you because it is written in detail in English. Second, this is about this town. There are many shops, so this site show them. By this site, you can find a shop which you want to go. Finally, this is the Toganji temple. A Japanese temple is traditional and beautiful, so I want you to see it. There is the Buddha, and you may move in your mind. Then you use these sites to visit Motoyama.
